Premium Paintings on Wine Barrel Staves for Lovers of Wine and Spirits In this Fun Video I discuss the creative process. Warning: you may be forced to laugh.

Collectors who seek truly unique artwork recognize there is nothing like the Premium Barrel Art I create from reclaimed wine barrels. Each piece is unique in the world. They cannot be reproduced. They cannot be found in another artist's studio. I pioneered the process of laying out the composition on wine barrel staves while remaining true to the perspective. Each painting is so realistic as to appear 3-dimensional. Many people note it looks like you could pick up the bottles and drink from them. Each painting is absolutely unique. Each is hand made from reclaimed wine barrels, and crafted entirely in-house. The paintings are done in acrylic directly on the wood. Many of these vertical paintings are designed to be hung with either end up - hence, the two mounting hooks. In this video I talk about the process of creating these Premium Pieces.

This rotating image demonstrates the 3-dimensionality of the artworks. The blanks for these paintings are laminated from 4 or more Wine Barrel Staves. A composition is then designed which extends beyond the edges of the blank. The extensions are cut from other barrel staves, then laminated to the original blank prior to painting. These extensions enhance the trompe l'oeil effect.
